Academics Intermediate Phase Grade 4-6
At Laerskool Mw De Wet Primary our qualified educators strive to reach high levels of academic results. We follow and implement policies to help our learners reach their academic goals. We do not just award our academic goals but we believe in each individual learner and support them to reach their full capacity. During the academic year our learners participate in career day, Olympiads, spelling competitions and Entrepreneur day and the best yet is that our learners enjoy it.
In the Intermediate Phase we assist the learners with the transitioning from the Foundation Phase to the Intermediate Phase. As Grade 4 is a new system for the Grade 3’s we have dedicated and caring staff to assist. Grade 4 is a new milestone for the learners as it is the first time they will be introduced to different subjects, educators and rotation. Our Grade 4-6 teachers are all qualified in their respective subjects and go the extra mile to prepare learners for the academic year and completion of the ATP as provided by the Department of Education.

We do not just award our academic goals but we believe in each individual learner and support them to reach their full capacity. During the academic year our learners participate in career day, Olympiads, spelling competitions and Entrepreneur day and the best yet is that our learners enjoy it. Our learners set off to various High schools where they excel in leadership and academics. From being accepted by top private and public schools to becoming Head leaders and receiving distinctions in Matric.
In the Senior Phase we mentor the learners with the transitioning from the Intermediate Phase to the Senior Phase. As Grade 7 is a more intense phase we have dedicated and caring staff to assist. Grade 7 is a new milestone for the learners as it is the first time they will be introduced to new specialised subjects. New specialised subjects include EMS, the Life skills are also split up to form Art and Lo as specialised subjects, the NS/Tech subject is split up to form NS and Tech as specialised subjects. Our Grade 7 teachers are all qualified in their respective subjects and go the extra mile to prepare learners for the academic year and completion of the ATP as provided by the Department of Education.
We prepare our Grade 7 learners for High School on both Academic and Emotional levels so they can be the best learner they can be.
